Vopac Indications
Vopac is indicated to relieve mild to moderate pain. Vopac is a combination of acetaminophen and the narcotic drug codeine.
Codeine acts on certain centers in the brain to reduce pain.
Vopac Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Cold/clammy skin;
- Dark urine;
- Extreme fatigue;
- Loss of consciousness;
- Persistent nausea or vomiting;
- Slow breathing;
- Slow heartbeat;
- Stomach pain;
- Unusual sweating;
- Yellowing eyes or skin;
Vopac Side Effects
Side effects may include:
- Change in the amount of urine;
- Constipation;
- Dark urine;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Extreme fatigue;
- Flushing;
- Itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat);
- Lightheadedness;
- Mental/mood changes;
- Nausea;
- Rash;
- Severe dizziness;
- Severe nausea;
- Slow/irregular breathing;
- Slow/irregular heartbeat;
- Stomach pain;
- Trouble breathing;
- Vision changes;
- Vomiting;
- Yellowing eyes or skin;
Vopac Drug Reactions
Inform your pharmacist if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Anticholinergic drugs/antihistamines (hydroxyzine oxybutynin scopolamine);
- Anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine phenobarbital phenytoin);
- Cimetidine;
- Isoniazid;
- Other medications for pain;
- Quinidine;
- Anti-anxiety drugs (diazepam);
- Antihistamines that cause drowsiness (diphenhydramine);
- Medicine for sleep (sedatives);
- Muscle relaxants;
- Psychiatric medicines (phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine or tricyclics such as amitriptyline);
- Tranquilizers;
