Rynacrom.

 Rynacrom information

Rynacrom Indications

Rynacrom is a pharmaceutical preparation designed to prevent the symptoms of allergic response to several allergens - in particular, those affecting the respiratory tract. Rynacrom is based on the active substance Sodium Cromoglicate. At this time it is not fully understood how this substance acts in reducing the allergic response, however its efficiency has been proven beyond any doubt through several tests and studies. Its mechanism of action is thought to be a stabilization of the mast cells, thus reducing their sensitivity to allergens.
In most cases, Rynacrom is employed as a prophylactic agent in order to prevent the onset of allergic rhinitis. Using Rynacrom leads to relief of such symptoms as runny or blocked nose, sneezing or itching. Rynacrom should be employed as a means of preventing allergic reactions - as such, the best results are obtained when the medicine is applied prior to exposure to the allergens, even if at the time of application there are no visible symptoms.
Rynacrom may be indicated for the treatment or prevention of other medical affections as well. Even though a specific medical condition is not listed here it does not mean that your personal health care specialist may not prescribe you at therapy course with Rynacrom in order to treat that particular affection. If you are unsure why you should use Rynacrom, it is best to consult with your prescriber.

Rynacrom Contraindications

In rare cases, Rynacrom may cause an allergic reaction in patients that are hypersensitive to Rynacrom or to any of its ingredient substances. It is best that you inform your physician of any substances you are allergic to prior to starting a treatment with Rynacrom.
If you are pregnant, if you plan to become pregnant in the near future or if you are breast feeding a baby, you should consult with your personal health care professional regarding the benefits and the risks that may be involved in using Rynacrom. Also, you may want to tell the prescriber of any medical conditions you are currently suffering from; making sure that the prescriber is familiar with your medical history may also help avoid certain complications from occurring.

Rynacrom Intake Guidelines

Keep the Rynacrom container sealed at all times when not administering the medicine, in order to avoid contamination with various infective agents. When applying the medicine, avoid touching the tip of the applicator.
Use Rynacrom exactly as directed by the prescriber. The medicine should be applied before exposure to the allergens, as this will yield better results from the therapy. If you have trouble understanding or remembering any of your prescriber's directions regarding Rynacrom administration, it is suggested that you ask him or her to provide you with further advice.

Rynacrom Dosage

Your prescriber will inform you what is the exact Rynacrom dosage that you will need to employ with each application. Also, he or she will tell you how many times per day you should administer the medicine and how long you should keep using this pharmaceutical product. It is strongly advised that you closely follow all of your prescriber's indications, as this will help you obtain the best results from the Rynacrom therapy. You should not exceed the recommended dosage, and you should not use the medication dosage that has been indicated to a different patient, as the optimal dosage may vary from one patient to another depending on a number of various factors. You should not stop using Rynacrom without your personal physician's consent. If you believe that you should no longer use Rynacrom, you should discuss the possibility of ceasing the therapy with your prescriber.

Rynacrom Overdose

You should take precautions to avoid using too much of Rynacrom, as this may cause a number of consequences with a more or less severe impact on your general health condition. While in most situations Rynacrom is not likely to cause severe, life threatening complications, prolonged exposure to the product or usage of extremely high doses may result in an overdose accompanied by various medical complications.

Rynacrom Missed Dose

If you have missed applying the appropriate Rynacrom dose on time, it is best that you use the nasal spray as soon as you remember about it. In most cases this is not likely to cause any severe complications - however you may no longer be properly protected against an allergic reaction. If you have missed the recommended dose by more than two hours, you are advised to completely skip the missed dose and take the next dose as recommended. You should not use a higher Rynacrom dosage to make up for a missed dose.
In the event that you have missed two or more doses of the medicine, it is best that you consult with your health care provider for advice.

Rynacrom Side Effects

Patients following a treatment course with Rynacrom may experience a number of side effects. While most of these are expected to be mild and to go away within a few days, it is recommended that you contact your personal physician at once if any of the following signs and symptoms become persistent or particularly bothersome: headaches, sleeping problems, drowsiness, palpitations, nasal irritation or wheezing. Please note that this list is not complete and you may experience symptoms that are not listed here.

Rynacrom Interactions

At this time it is not known whether Rynacrom may interact with other medicines. It is best that you inform your prescriber about any drugs you are taking prior to starting a therapy course with this pharmaceutical preparation.
