Novagest Indications
Novagest is indicated to:
- Chest congestion;
- Stuffy nose symptoms caused by the common cold flu or other breathing illnesses (sinusitis bronchitis);
- Temporarily treat cough;
Novagest is an expectorant that helps thin and loosen mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up the mucus.
Novagest is not indicated for:
- Asthma;
- Coughs with a lot of mucus;
- Ongoing coughs from smoking;
- Other long-term breathing problems (emphysema);
Novagest Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Cold/clammy skin;
- Confusion;
- Fast/slow/irregular heartbeat;
- Loss of consciousness;
- Seizures;
- Slow/shallow breathing;
Novagest Side Effects
Side effects may include:
- Constipation;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Fast/slow/irregular heartbeat;
- Headache;
- Itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat);
- Mental/mood changes (confusion hallucinations);
- Nausea;
- Nervousness;
- Rash;
- Seizure;
- Severe dizziness;
- Shaking (tremors);
- Slow/shallow breathing;
- Trouble breathing;
- Trouble sleeping;
- Trouble urinating;
- Upset stomach;
- Weakness;
Vopac Drug Reactions
Inform your pharmacist if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Beta blockers (metoprolol atenolol);
- Certain inhaled anesthetics (halothane);
- Cimetidine;
- Guanethidine;
- Methyldopa;
- Narcotic antagonists (naltrexone naloxone);
- Other anticholinergic drugs (benztropine belladonna alkaloids);
- Reserpine;
- Tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline desipramine);
- Anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine);
- Certain antihistamines (diphenhydramine);
- Medicine for sleep or anxiety (alprazolam diazepam zolpidem);
- Muscle relaxants;
- Narcotic pain relievers (codeine);
- Psychiatric medicines (chlorpromazine risperidone trazodone);
