Medent Indications
Medent is indicated to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with:
- Allergies;
- Hay fever;
- Other respiratory illnesses;
- Sinusitis;
- The common cold;
Medent is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Medent suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness.
Medent Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Anxiety;
- Blurred vision;
- Change in behavior;
- Chest pain;
- Chills;
- Convulsions;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Fatigue;
- Fever;
- Headache;
- Increased thirst;
- Large pupils;
- Loss of coordination;
- Muscle weakness;
- Nausea/vomiting;
- Slow or shallow breathing;
- Slurred speech;
- Sweating;
- Tremors;
- Unconsciousness;
- Unusual movements of the eyes;
- Unusual slow or fast heartbeat;
Medent Side Effects
Side effects may include:
- Dry mouth;
- Headache;
- Loss of appetite;
- Mild dizziness;
- Mild drowsiness;
- Nausea;
- Nervousness;
Notify your doctor if you develop:
- Chest pain;
- Extreme nervousness;
- Painful or difficult urination;
- Rapid pulse;
- Skin rash;
- Tremors;
- Trouble sleeping;
If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor.
Medent Contraindications
Medent is contraindicated if you have:
- Any drug allergies;
- Asthma;
- Diabetes;
- Emphysema;
- Glaucoma;
- Heart disease;
- High blood pressure;
- Kidney disease;
- Lung disease;
- Overactive thyroid;
- Prostate trouble;
Medent Drug Reactions
Inform your pharmacist if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Furazolidone;
- Linezolid;
- MAO inhibitors;
- Medication for blood pressure;
- Moclobemide;
- Narcotic pain medicines (codeine morphine);
- Phenelzine;
- Procarbazine;
- Selegiline;
- Sibutramine;
