Halotussin Indications
Halotussin is indicated to control cough and congestion associated with:
- Respiratory tract illness;
- Allergies;
- A cold;
Halotussin is an expectorant prescribed to help clear mucous and congestion. Halotussin is indicated to quiet a cough.
Halotussin Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Cold and clammy skin;
- Deep sleep or loss of consciousness;
- Drowsiness;
- Dry mouth;
- Slow pulse;
- Slowed breathing;
Halotussin Side Effects
Side effects may include:
- Constipation;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Headache;
- Nausea;
- Stomach upset;
- Vomiting;
Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate.
If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Halotussin Contraindications
Halotussin is contraindicated if you have:
- Allergies (especially to narcotics);
- Lung disease (asthma emphysema);
- Substance abuse;
Halotussin Drug Reactions
