Enditussin Indications
Enditussin is indicated to temporarily treat cough, chest congestion, and stuffy nose symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, or other breathing illnesses (sinusitis, bronchitis).
Enditussin Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include:
- Slow/shallow breathing;
- Seizures;
- Loss of consciousness;
- Fast/slow/irregular heartbeat;
- Confusion;
- Cold/clammy skin;
Enditussin Side Effects
Side effects may include:
- Allergic reaction to this drug;
- Constipation;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Fast/slow/irregular heartbeat;
- Headache;
- Itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat);
- Mental/mood changes (confusion hallucinations);
- Nausea;
- Nervousness;
- Rash;
- Seizure;
- Severe dizziness;
- Shaking (tremors);
- Slow/shallow breathing;
- Trouble breathing;
- Trouble sleeping;
- Trouble urinating;
- Upset stomach;
- Weakness;
Enditussin Drug Reactions
Inform your pharmacist if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine);
- Beta blockers (metoprolol atenolol);
- Certain antihistamines (diphenhydramine);
- Certain inhaled anesthetics (halothane);
- Cimetidine;
- Furazolidone;
- Guanethidine;
- Isocarboxazid;
- Linezolid;
- MAO inhibitors;
- Medicine for sleep or anxiety (alprazolam diazepam zolpidem);
- Methyldopa;
- Moclobemide;
- Muscle relaxants;
- Narcotic antagonists (naltrexone naloxone);
- Narcotic pain relievers (codeine);
- Other anticholinergic drugs (benztropine belladonna alkaloids);
- Phenelzine;
- Procarbazine;
- Psychiatric medicines (chlorpromazine risperidone trazodone);
- Rasagiline;
- Reserpine;
- Selegiline;
- Sibutramine;
- Tranylcypromine;
- Tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline desipramine);
